PRINCE STREET CHURCH
Discipleship Ministry
Helping people walk as Jesus walked is more than a slogan, it's the
reason we exist. All of our discipleship ministries are designed to help
people become healthy, growing, reproducing disciples of Jesus
Christ. What's that? Here's our description:

1. A disciple knows Jesus Christ as his/her Savior.
2. A disciple worships God collectively and personally.
3. A disciple communicates with God in prayer, studies the Bible daily
and applies what is learned to his/her life.
4. A disciple demonstrates the Fruit of the Spirit through a  growing
  relationship with God.
5. A disciple shows the love of Jesus through attitude and action
6. A disciple understands and uses his/her spiritual gifts to glorify God.
7. A disciple follows Christ’s example of sharing the gospel through
  prayer, conduct, friendship and words.
8. A disciple places God first in all areas of his/her life.

We schedule classes at two primary times, with childcare being
provided through Children's Ministries.

Sunday School - Sunday, 9:45 AM
We offer six different adult classes using different materials and styles
to help people "dig-in" to the Scriptures as they share life together.
Here's an overview of what you'll find:

Willing Worker Class
Sunday School used to be characterized by singing, praying and a
teacher lecturing from a "Quarterly" while students listen. In essence, it
was a small worship service. This tradition is alive and well in the
Willing Worker's Class. Most of the 40-50 students are Senior Adults.
But a few "Middle-Agers" enjoy this format as well. This class meets in
the Chapel, located directly behind the Sanctuary.

Golden Rule Circle
Some of our "Seniors" prefer a smaller group with more interaction.
Utilizing primarily guides by popular author, Dr. Warren Wiersbe, the
class strives to continue growing into the people God created,
redeemed, adopted and gifted them to be. This class meets in the
Library, located at the end of the main hallway on the main level.

Progressive Class
In the 1950's, the idea of men and women attending the same Sunday
School class was a "Progressive" idea. Hence the name of this class.
Most of the 15-20 students qualify as "Seniors". And although they use
the "Quarterly" too, the class is intentional about interaction. This class
meets in the classroom next to the elevator on the main level.

Good Shepherd Class
The next generation of young adults wanted to attend Sunday School
with people their own age. So a new class was formed. Breaking with
tradition, this class also began using other materials to guide their
study. Most of the 10-15 students are "Boomers" who believe finishing
discussion is more important than completing a lesson on time. This
class meets in Room 6, located on the upper level.

L.I.F.E. Class
W
ith a new generation came the need for a new class. Choosing a
name that stands for Living In Faith Everyday, most of the 35-40
students have school-age children and enjoy getting together for fun as
much as meeting on Sunday mornings. This discussion-oriented
class uses a variety of materials to guide their conversations. This
class meets in the large room located on the upper level.

Young Adults Class
The ages of the 10-15 students in this class range from post-high
school through parents of young children. This group enjoys very
practical discussions of how the Bible impacts every day life. This
class meets in Room 5, located on the upper level.
