This Wednesday, our students will have a special opportunity to serve and connect with some of our homebound church members.

We’ll meet at the Youth House at 6:00 PM for dinner, then leave at 6:20 PM to make three visits. We plan to return to the Youth House by 8:00 PM.

This is a meaningful opportunity for our students to give back, encourage members of our church family who aren’t able to be with us on Sundays, and build relationships across generations. We’re looking forward to an evening of conversation, encouragement, and showing the love of Christ in a simple but important way.

Looking Ahead: Back-to-School Prayer Night

Next week will be another special night as we gather for a Back-to-School Prayer Night. With students returning to school on August 20, we want to intentionally cover the new school year in prayer.

We’ll travel to the Middle School and High School to pray over our schools, students, teachers, administrators, and staff. We’ll ask God for His protection, wisdom, courage, and opportunities for our students to live out their faith throughout the year.

Parents are welcome to join us for this special time of prayer. We would love to have you come alongside our students as we pray for the school year ahead.

Uprise Fest 2026

Uprise Festival 2026 Prince Street Students is heading to Uprise Festival for two incredible days of live Christian music, worship, and time together! Uprise Festival will take place on Friday, September 11, and Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Shippensburg Community Fairgrounds. This year’s featured artists include Brandon Lake, Skillet, TOBYMAC, CeCe Winans, Crowder, and many more. Student accounts will offset a portion of the ticket price. The costs below are the remaining amounts students will pay after the student-account contribution has been applied: Full two-day event: $80 Friday only: $55 Saturday only: $55 Meals Students attending on Friday evening will need to provide their own food. On Saturday, Prince Street Students will provide food and drinks for the day. We would love for your student to join us for an unforgettable weekend of music, worship, and community! Back to the Youth House--and Looking Ahead!

Parents, this week Student Ministry returns to the Youth House! As summer begins to wind down, we’ll start helping our students prepare for the transition back to school—not only academically, but spiritually. A new school year brings new routines, relationships, opportunities, and challenges. We want our students to enter it knowing that God has placed them right where they are for a purpose. This week, I’ll introduce SENT, a simple framework that will help guide our students as they return to school: S — See People: Look beyond ourselves and truly see the people God has placed around us. E — Engage with Intentionality: Build meaningful relationships and connect with others purposefully. N — Notice Needs: Pay attention to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of others. T — Tell About Jesus: Be ready to share the hope and love of Jesus through our words and actions. We want students to recognize that they are SENT by God into their schools, teams, friend groups, and neighborhoods. Each day gives them opportunities to care for others, live out their faith, and make Jesus known. This fall, we’ll also focus on a series of Foundations lessons. These lessons will help students develop a stronger understanding of what they believe and build a biblical foundation that can support them as they navigate everyday life. Together, SENT and Foundations will help students grow deeper in their faith and live it out with purpose. Coming Up Next week: Our students will visit some of our homebound church members. This will be a wonderful opportunity for them to serve, encourage others, and build relationships across generations. August 19: We’ll hold a special Prayer for Schools, asking God to guide and protect our students, teachers, administrators, and school staff as the new year begins. September 11–12: We’re looking forward to the Uprise Music Festival on Friday and Saturday! More information about this event will be shared soon. Please pray that our students will begin this school year confident in who they are, attentive to what God is doing around them, and ready to make a difference wherever they are sent. We’re excited about everything ahead and grateful to partner with you!

Annual Lake Day

🌊 Annual Student Ministry Lake Day Wednesday, July 29 One of our favorite days of the summer is almost here! Join us for our Annual Lake Day at Tatman Run Recreation Area at Raystown Lake for a full day of fun, fellowship, and making memories together. We'll spend the day swimming, playing games, enjoying the beach, and hanging out with friends. We'll also have jet skis available for students who would like to ride under adult supervision while following all safety guidelines. Event Details 📅 Date: Wednesday, July 29 🕗 Meet at Prince Street Church: 8:00 AM 🕘 Return: Approximately 9:00 PM 📍 Destination: Tatman Run Recreation Area – Raystown Lake Please Register Registration is required. We need everyone planning to attend to sign up so we can arrange enough transportation. 👉Sign Up Here What's Included We'll provide both lunch and dinner, so there's no need to pack a meal. What to Bring Swimsuit Towel Sunscreen Water bottle Beach chair (optional) Change of clothes for the ride home Any medications you may need Swimwear Expectations As followers of Christ, we want everything we do—including how we dress—to honor God and show respect for one another. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone can enjoy the day without unnecessary distractions. For young men: Swim trunks should fit appropriately and be worn at the waist. Shirts are encouraged when not swimming. For young women: Please wear a modest one-piece swimsuit or wear a dark-colored T-shirt or rash guard over a two-piece swimsuit. Strong Church Formation

Join Us for Strong Church Formation What does it look like for Prince Street Church to continue growing—not simply bigger, but deeper? We are inviting members of our Prince Street Church family to join us on Saturday, September 12, 2026, as we travel to Devonshire Church in Harrisburg for the Strong Church Formation workshop. This gathering is an opportunity for us to learn, worship, and grow alongside other United Brethren churches while thinking intentionally about the kind of church God is calling us to become. Growing Deeper Together At the 2025 United Brethren National Conference, a new definition of a local congregation was embraced around three important expectations of a maturing church: Spiritually Alive Deepening our vitality in Christ and helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus. Relationally Connected Building authentic Christian community where people are known, loved, encouraged, and supported. Missionally Engaged Living out the life and mission of Christ in our community and our world. The Strong Church Formation series is designed to help churches move from metrics to maturity, from maturity to unity, and from unity to multiplication. Worship This Sunday Join us this Sunday as Pastor Michael Gleason continues our Seek Ye First sermon series with a message titled “Be the Right Soil” from Matthew 13:1–23. Jesus’ parable challenges us to examine our hearts and consider how we respond to God’s Word. Come prepared to worship, grow, and encourage one another. Need to catch up before Sunday? If you missed last week’s message, take a few minutes to watch it online and stay connected as we journey through the Seek Ye First series together. → Watch Last Week’s Sermon Children in grades K–5 will be dismissed for Children’s Worship during the service, and nursery care is available for children up to age five. Student Ministries Take a Break This Week There will be no Student Ministries gathering on Wednesday, July 15 as our leaders take a brief pause before upcoming summer events. We encourage students and families to use the evening to spend time together, invite a friend over, or dig into God’s Word at home. We’re looking forward to gathering again soon as we continue growing together in faith and preparing for an exciting remainder of the summer. A New Church Directory is Coming-Mark Your Calendars

A New Church Directory Is Coming! One of the best parts of Prince Street Church is the people who make up our church family. This fall, we’re excited to create a new pictorial church directory—a wonderful way to help us put names with faces, strengthen relationships, and welcome new families into our church community. Photography sessions will be held: Friday, September 11 | 2:00–8:30 PM Saturday, September 12 | 10:00 AM–4:00 PM Every participating family will receive: A FREE 8×10 professional portrait A FREE Prince Street Church directory There is no obligation to purchase additional portraits, although they will be available if you choose to do so. Invite Your Family Family members who do not attend Prince Street Church are welcome to be photographed with you. They’ll receive a complimentary 8×10 portrait as well, although only Prince Street Church attenders will be included in the printed directory. Why Participate? Our church directory is much more than a collection of pictures—it’s a tool that helps us build community. This is a great opportunity for students to spend time together, build friendships, and enjoy a night of fun outside of our regular programming. Event Details Date: Wednesday Meet: 5:30 PM at the Youth House Return: Approximately 8:00 PM Destination: Wallace Golf Shop 1065 Heritage Ave. Shippensburg, PA 17254 Parent Information Please have your student arrive at the Youth House by 5:30 PM so we can leave together as a group. Sons of the Shepherd

his past Sunday, our church family was blessed to hear from Matthew Robinson, founder of Sons of the Shepherd. Through his own journey of profound loss, God has given Matt a ministry dedicated to helping men navigate grief with biblical hope, authentic community, and steadfast faith. (Commission to Every Nation⁠) About Sons of the Shepherd Sons of the Shepherd exists to walk alongside men who are carrying the weight of grief, loss, and life’s unexpected hardships. The ministry provides encouragement, biblical teaching, and Christ-centered brotherhood for men learning to lead their families and continue following Jesus even in seasons of deep sorrow. Matt’s ministry was born out of personal experience after losing his first wife, Tiffanie, following a battle with cancer. Rather than allowing grief to define his life, God has used that journey to create a ministry that points hurting men to the hope and faithfulness of Christ. (Commission to Every Nation⁠) Why This Matters As followers of Christ, we are called to “bear one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2). Ministries like Sons of the Shepherd remind us that no one has to walk through grief alone. 🚗 Help Support Student Ministry Through Fair Parking

Each year, Prince Street Church has the opportunity to serve our community through Fair Parking, and we’d love for you to be part of it! We’ll be providing parking on the corner of Possum Hollow Road during the Shippensburg Fair on: Wednesday, July 22 Friday, July 24 Saturday, July 25 This year, all donations received will directly support the Prince Street Church Student Ministry, helping provide opportunities for students to grow in their faith, build Christ-centered relationships, and serve others. Volunteers Needed We’re looking for volunteers to serve 2–3 hour shifts helping direct parking and welcome guests.
