There is something special about gathering around a table, sharing a meal, and spending time together outside the normal rhythms of Sunday morning. That's exactly what our Church Picnic is all about.

On Sunday, June 28, we'll gather at Shippensburg Township Park on Britton Road for a morning of worship, fellowship, food, and fun. Whether you've been attending Prince Street Church for years or have only recently connected with us, we'd love for you to join us.

We'll begin the morning with Donuts & Coffee at 10:00 AM, followed by our Worship Service at 10:45 AM. After worship, we'll enjoy a catered meal together at noon, followed by games, activities, and plenty of opportunities to relax and spend time with one another.

At Prince Street Church, we believe church is more than attending a service—it's being part of a family. Events like our Church Picnic give us the opportunity to strengthen relationships, welcome new faces, and celebrate what God is doing in our church community.

This Week at PSC | Opportunities to Serve, Connect, and Support Ministry As summer continues, God is providing many opportunities for our church family to worship together, serve others, and support the ministries of Prince Street Church. Take a few moments to review these upcoming events and opportunities to get involved. Sons of the Shepherd | July 5 Matt Robinson will be joining us on Sunday, July 5 during the Sunday School hour and briefly during worship to share about Sons of the Shepherd, a new ministry focused on helping widowed men after the loss of their wives. We encourage you to join us as we learn more about this ministry and how God is using it to care for those walking through grief and transition. Fair Vesper Service & Community Choir Each year, churches from across the Shippensburg area gather for a community worship service during Fair Week. We invite you to participate in this special opportunity for fellowship and worship. Fair Vesper Choir Rehearsal Date: Saturday, July 18 Time: 11:00 AM Location: Oasis of Love Church The choir will be singing two familiar songs, and copies will be available through the church office for anyone who would like to review them beforehand. Fair Vesper Service Date: Sunday, July 19 Time: 7:30 PM Location: Shippensburg Fairgrounds Come early at 7:00 PM to enjoy music from the Shippensburg Town Band before the service begins. Sign Up If you are interested in singing with the choir, please let us know.Fair Vesper Choir Interest Form Fair Parking Fundraiser Once again, Prince Street Church will be helping with fair parking on the corner of Possum Hollow Road during Fair Week. Event Details Dates: July 22, 24, and 25 This year, all donations received through the parking ministry will support the Youth Ministry of Prince Street Church. Volunteer Opportunity We are looking for volunteers willing to serve during a 2–3 hour shift. Sign UpFair Parking Volunteer Sign-Up Thank you for your faithful support of our students and youth ministry. Mission Trip to Laurel, Kentucky Plans continue for the mission trip to Laurel, Kentucky. Event Details Dates: August 8–15, 2026 How You Can Help In addition to praying for the team, there are donation opportunities available at the table in the back of the sanctuary. Please consider taking one or two of the posted items and returning them as soon as possible to help support the team's ministry efforts. Prince Street Church will be creating a new pictorial church directory with the help of Universal Church Directories. Photography Dates September 11: 2:00 PM–8:30 PM September 12: 10:00 AM–4:00 PM Each participating family will receive: A FREE 8x10 portrait A FREE church directory Family members who do not attend Prince Street Church are also welcome to be photographed and will receive a free 8x10 portrait, though they will not be included in the church directory. Additional details and scheduling information will be available soon. Looking Ahead PSC Ice Cream Social Date: Saturday, August 1 Make plans now to join us for a church-wide Ice Cream Social. Sign-ups will begin next week. Church Building Rekeying As part of our ongoing effort to be good stewards of our facilities and maintain the safety and security of our church buildings, the church has completed a building rekeying project and implemented a new Key Policy. If you have a need for a church key, forms are available at the Connection Center and may be returned through the church office mail slot. We encourage everyone to review the Key Policy, which is available at the back of the sanctuary and on the church website. Pastor Vacation Pastor John will be on vacation from July 5–19. During this time, Pastor Michael will be providing pastoral coverage and can be contacted regarding any pastoral concerns or needs. There is a lot happening in the life of our church family this week as we prepare for Vacation Bible School, gather for fellowship opportunities, and look ahead to next Sunday's Church Picnic. Happy Father's Day Today, we thank God for the fathers and father figures who have faithfully influenced our lives. As part of today's celebration, everyone will receive a small gift to pass along to a man who has been a godly example or "spiritual dad" in their life—a father, mentor, teacher, neighbor, or friend who has pointed them toward Christ. Whether you're serving, attending, praying, or inviting someone to join you, we hope you'll be part of what God is doing through these ministry opportunities. As a church family, we want to continue planting and watering Gospel seeds as we seek to Praise God, Serve Others, and Cultivate Disciples. Vacation Bible School Week Vacation Bible School begins this week, and we are excited for the opportunity to share the Gospel with children from our church and community. Summer ministry season is in full swing at Prince Street Church! As we prepare for Vacation Bible School, continue our study through the book of Ruth, and look ahead to several opportunities for fellowship and service, there are many ways to connect with the life of our church family this week. Worship This Sunday Join us this Sunday as Pastor John Shadle continues our sermon series through the book of Ruth with a message from Ruth chapter 3 titled “The Redeemer We Need.” In Ruth 3, we’ll see God’s provision unfolding through the actions of Boaz, a redeemer who points us forward to Jesus Christ. As Ruth seeks redemption and refuge, we are reminded that God has provided the Redeemer we truly need in Christ, who welcomes us, rescues us, and makes us His own. At the conclusion of the service, we will celebrate Communion together as a church family. As we remember Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf, we’ll reflect on the redemption He accomplished for us through His death and resurrection. Communion elements will be available at the back of the sanctuary. What’s Happening at Prince Street Church June 7–14, 2026 Summer is here, and ministry is in full swing at Prince Street Church! From student events and Vacation Bible School preparations to opportunities for fellowship, service, and worship, there are many ways to get involved in the life of our church family this week. Worship This Sunday Join us this Sunday as Pastor John Shadle continues our sermon series through the book of Ruth with a message from Ruth chapter 2 titled “Providence in the Ordinary.” As we study Ruth’s story, we’ll be reminded that God is often working behind the scenes in the ordinary moments of life to accomplish His extraordinary purposes. We’re also excited to celebrate a special milestone in the life of our church family. During the service, we will recognize Pastor Michael Gleason as he receives his Provisional License from the Church of the United Brethren in Christ. Please join us in thanking God for His calling and faithfulness and praying for Michael as he continues toward his National Conference License.
