Worship This Sunday Join us this Sunday as Pastor Michael Gleason continues our Seek Ye First sermon series with a message titled “Be the Right Soil” from Matthew 13:1–23. Jesus’ parable challenges us to examine our hearts and consider how we respond to God’s Word. Come prepared to worship, grow, and encourage one another. Need to catch up before Sunday? If you missed last week’s message, take a few minutes to watch it online and stay connected as we journey through the Seek Ye First series together. → Watch Last Week’s Sermon Children in grades K–5 will be dismissed for Children’s Worship during the service, and nursery care is available for children up to age five. Student Ministries Take a Break This Week There will be no Student Ministries gathering on Wednesday, July 15 as our leaders take a brief pause before upcoming summer events. We’re looking forward to gathering again soon as we continue growing together in faith and preparing for an exciting remainder of the summer. Sons of the Shepherd | July 5 Matt Robinson will be joining us on Sunday, July 5 during the Sunday School hour and briefly during worship to share about Sons of the Shepherd, a new ministry focused on helping widowed men after the loss of their wives. We encourage you to join us as we learn more about this ministry and how God is using it to care for those walking through grief and transition.Sons of the Shepherd Fair Vesper Service & Community Choir Each year, churches from across the Shippensburg area gather for a community worship service during Fair Week. Church Building Rekeying As part of our ongoing effort to be good stewards of our facilities and maintain the safety and security of our church buildings, the church has completed a building rekeying project and implemented a new Key Policy. If you have a need for a church key, forms are available at the Connection Center and may be returned through the church office mail slot. We encourage everyone to review the Key Policy,which is available at the back of the sanctuary and on the church website. Pastor Vacation Pastor John will be on vacation from July 5–19. During this time, Pastor Michael will be providing pastoral coverage and can be contacted regarding any pastoral concerns or needs. There is a lot happening in the life of our church family this week as we prepare for Vacation Bible School, gather for fellowship opportunities, and look ahead to next Sunday's Church Picnic. Happy Father's Day Today, we thank God for the fathers and father figures who have faithfully influenced our lives. As part of today's celebration, everyone will receive a small gift to pass along to a man who has been a godly example or "spiritual dad" in their life—a father, mentor, teacher, neighbor, or friend who has pointed them toward Christ. Summer ministry season is in full swing at Prince Street Church! As we prepare for Vacation Bible School, continue our study through the book of Ruth, and look ahead to several opportunities for fellowship and service, there are many ways to connect with the life of our church family this week. Worship This Sunday Join us this Sunday as Pastor John Shadle continues our sermon series through the book of Ruth with a message from Ruth chapter 3 titled “The Redeemer We Need.” In Ruth 3, we’ll see God’s provision unfolding through the actions of Boaz, a redeemer who points us forward to Jesus Christ. As Ruth seeks redemption and refuge, we are reminded that God has provided the Redeemer we truly need in Christ, who welcomes us, rescues us, and makes us His own. At the conclusion of the service, we will celebrate Communion together as a church family. As we remember Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf, we’ll reflect on the redemption He accomplished for us through His death and resurrection. Communion elements will be available at the back of the sanctuary. What’s Happening at Prince Street Church June 7–14, 2026 Summer is here, and ministry is in full swing at Prince Street Church! From student events and Vacation Bible School preparations to opportunities for fellowship, service, and worship, there are many ways to get involved in the life of our church family this week. Worship This Sunday Join us this Sunday as Pastor John Shadle continues our sermon series through the book of Ruth with a message from Ruth chapter 2 titled “Providence in the Ordinary.” As we study Ruth’s story, we’ll be reminded that God is often working behind the scenes in the ordinary moments of life to accomplish His extraordinary purposes. We’re also excited to celebrate a special milestone in the life of our church family. During the service, we will recognize Pastor Michael Gleason as he receives his Provisional License from the Church of the United Brethren in Christ. Please join us in thanking God for His calling and faithfulness and praying for Michael as he continues toward his National Conference License. Sunday Morning Schedule Donuts & Coffee – 9:00 AM Sunday School – 9:30 AM Worship Service – 10:45 AM Donuts and Coffee continue to provide a great opportunity to connect with others before Sunday School and worship. Student Ministries Hersheypark Trip This Wednesday, June 10, our Student Ministries group will travel to Hersheypark for a day of fellowship, fun, and relationship building. We invite the entire church family to pray for our students and leaders as they spend time together. The group will depart at 9:30 AM and return around 9:00 PM. Vacation Bible School Is Coming Soon! Vacation Bible School is one of our biggest outreach opportunities of the year, and preparations are underway. Register Children Today Registration is now open for children, grandchildren, neighbors, and friends. Registering early helps our team prepare supplies and materials so we can provide the best possible experience for every child.Sign Up for VBS Volunteers Needed We still need volunteers to help make VBS a success. Whether you enjoy teaching, crafts, games, decorating, hospitality, or behind-the-scenes support, there is a place for you to serve. This is a wonderful opportunity to invest in the next generation. VBS Decorating Opportunities There are several upcoming opportunities to help prepare the church for VBS: Final Decorating Workshop – June 11, 6:30–8:00 PM Church Decorating Day – June 20, beginning at 9:00 AM Final Touches – June 22, beginning at 9:00 AM Many hands make light work, and we’d love your help as we prepare our campus to welcome children and families from our community. Opportunities to Serve Prince Street Church is currently seeking qualified candidates for two important ministry positions: Children’s Ministry Coordinator We are prayerfully searching for our next Children’s Ministry Coordinator. If you or someone you know may be interested, additional information and a job description are available on our website. Part-Time Worship Director We are also seeking a part-time Worship Director to help lead our congregation in worship and support our worship ministry. Job details are available online. Fellowship Opportunities Fruitful Friendly Fellowship (FFF) Join us on Friday, June 19 at 1:00 PM in the Progressive Classroom for a time of fellowship and creative handwork such as crocheting, knitting, and other projects.
